My Story
I was hooked on Pilates from the start, in 2006. I had noticed in a very short time of the benefits to my mind and body. Pilates gives you inner strength and suppleness which makes you feel better within yourself. With this in mind I decided to take steps to become an instructor and achieved my first certificate, Qualified Level 4 in Contemporary Pilates and Teaching Methodology in 2010 and my latest achievement I Qualified in Level 2 APMA (Australian Pilates Method Association) in 2013. I have taught Pilates mat work ( Floor Classes ) in a successful home based studio in Margaret River for a three year period as well as a regular Pilates studio in the centre of town. As well, I currently conduct clinical Pilates in several Perth Pilates studios.
I have a range of skills that compliment being a Pilates instructor. I have trained in counselling, run leadership groups, completed a black belt in martial arts, and taught swimming and coached basketball and netball teams. Added to these skills, I initiated self-defence groups for girls and women to increase and empower their self-esteem and physical well-being.
I am passionate about helping people achieve their goals and better themselves. I strongly believe that most people can achieve their utmost best with my professional guidance, concentration and dedication.
I look forward to seeing your smiling faces at New Start Pilates.
